Hispanic Desk

Brazil has, by far, the largest economy in Latin America. The country has long been a leader in movements to reduce trade barriers to intra-regional trade and to better integrate the economies of the region. Given Brazil’s size and location, the country’s business enterprises have extensive relations with firms in neighboring countries.

The Hispanic Desk has been organized to facilitate transactions in the Spanish-speaking world, both elsewhere in Latin America and in Spain. Of late, we have been particularly active in corporate restructurings involving assets in other nations in the region. Similarly, we are now seeing an increase in inbound direct investment from neighboring countries. Our corporate and tax teams are frequently called on to assist in these transactions. The desk is staffed by Spanish-speaking lawyers with extensive experience in the region.
