On December 18th, the National Council for Energy Policy (“CNPE”) published in the Union’s Official Gazette the Ordinances No. 17/2018 and 18/2018 that authorizes the National Agency of Petroleum, Natural Gas and Biofuels to hold the 16th Concession Bid Round and 6th Pre-Salt Bid Round, respectively, expected to be held in 2019.
The ANP’s 16th Concession Bid Round will offer 42 blocks located in the Pernambuco-Paraíba, Jacuípe, Camamu-Almada, Campos and Santos offshore basins, in the total area of 29.91 thousand km².
The blocks Aram, Bumerangue, Cruzeiro do Sul, Sudoeste de Sagitário, in the Santos Basin, and Norte de Brava, in the Campos Basin, will be offered in the ANP’s 6th Pre-Salt Bid Round. Petrobras shall, within thirty (30) days from the publication of the CNPE’s Ordinance No. 18/2018, informs about its preemptive right as operator in each of the pre-salt area.
The minimum percentage of the Union’s profit oil, considering the price of the oil Brent of US$ 50.00 and the average daily production of 12,000 barrels of oil per active production well, and the signature bonus shall be the following for each area to be offered in the ANP’s 6th Pre-Salt Bid Round:

In addition, it was authorized by the CNPE’s Ordinance No. 19/2018, also published on December 18th, the execution by the ANP of the studies regarding the prospects of Esmeralda and Ágata, in the Santos Basin, and Água Marinha, in the Campos Basin, for the ANP’s 7th Pre-Salt Bid Round, and the areas of Tupinambá, Jade and Ametista, in the Santos Basin, and Turmalina, in the Campos Basin, for the ANP’s 8th Pre-Salt Bid Round, expected to be held in 2020 and 2021, respectively.
